Abstract
Education is an important tool for attaining greater autonomy, empowering people, and closing gender inequities in the allocation of opportunities and resources. This review aims to highlights the curriculum changes in Kenya since independence and school preparedness in implementation of competency based curriculum. Education and training for all Kenyans is critical to the achievement of the government's overall development goal. Kenya has made significant educational progress since independence in terms of adherence to education declarations. Kenyans are critical to the success of the government's overall development strategy.
