A Survey was conducted to document edible Orthopteran insects of Manipur. A consolidated list of edible Orthopteran insects of Manipur has been systematically prepared through questionnaire method. It consists of a total of 15 species belonging to 15 genera and 3 families. The study revealed that the people of Manipur consumed the adult insects either by roasting or frying them. Out of 15 species, 1 species is found to have medicinal property.
