Abstract

In an environment of economic warfare, discourse stands as the central element as it triggers the whole set of events in the Wyoming Territory. All the turmoil that takes place in Take Me Home originates from the discursive preparation that characters have been making. Messages of hatred and exclusion stemming from mere allegations have prepared minds to engage in ethnic violence. Meanwhile, mitigating positions championing love, communion and plurality have emerged to propose possibilities where impossibilities are perceptible. Nevertheless, some original flaws in the lives of the revolutionary characters have hampered the successful outcome of the discursive innovation aiming at amending the dominant discourse.
